About the role As the Strategic Bids and Proposals Lead within the Transformation Office, you are integral to the success of V/Line. You will work closely with the Head of Corporate Planning on the development of the Corporate Plan and overseeing the effective implementation of initiatives. As an exceptional communicator, you will lead the preparation of compelling proposals and robust submissions to seek State government funding that will enable V/Line to execute on organisational strategic priorities and initiatives. This will involve working collaboratively across V/Line to understand where the funding is most needed and help scope out a business case for each critical initiative. You are also responsible for facilitating the preparation of Group Plans for each functional unit that align with V/Line's Corporate Plan, strategies and other strategic priorities. Key Accountabilities include: Work across the business to identify, produce and support proposal development activities to seek funding to execute upon strategic priorities and organisational initiatives and effectively manage risk Prepare robust proposals and funding submissions to deliver on V/Line and Government transport and regional development strategies and initiatives. Contribute to the development and drafting of the Corporate Plan Support the development of Corporate KPIs and initiatives and ensure strategic alignment between Corporate Strategy, Corporate Plan KPIs and initiatives and Group Plan KPIs and initiatives Remuneration for this position will between $123,000 to $150,000 (total package) and will bedetermined in line with skills and experience. You will come with exceptional writing and presentation skills, able to draft concise, articulate and logical submissions. You will be a team player and have worked across all levels including partnering with and influencing Senior and executive leadership groups. You will have the ability to gather the right information and ensure there is a connection between strategy, planning and funding. Along with the above our ideal candidate will possess the following: Experience preparing compelling business cases, funding submissions or bids and proposals. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. Proven ability to develop strong internal and external business relationships across functions to gather the necessary business information. Experience in strategic planning or corporate strategy development. High level planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage competing tasks with tight deadlines. High level skills in MS Office suite. It is advantageous to have worked in a similar role including a broad understanding of the Victorian transport policy setting and landscape.
