The Role They are seeking a Fire Protection Engineer looking to join their Canberra team and further develop their engineering and consulting skills in an environment that encourages on-the-job training and an internal learning and development program to enhance your foundation skills further. The Day-to-day Role Will Include The Following Provide fire protection design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects. Deliver best practices and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time. Take the lead on medium to large-size engineering design projects (as appropriate) and support junior engineers on smaller projects. Communicate effectively with all external and internal clients Build solid client relationships, seek, and act on business development opportunities. Contribute to the development of the business unit against strategic goals. Be a mentor to junior engineers in the team, including technical advice and soft skills. The Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in the building services sector utilising Australian building codes and standards. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong client and stakeholder relationships. A proven track record of effectively handling competing priorities, prioritising work, and meeting tight deadlines. Familiarity with other Building Services disciplines with the ability to engage with those team members and evaluate design solutions. Ideally, hold a degree in the associated field.
