To be part of something bigger, achieving positive change by working with thousands of Australians to help them live life in all its fullness.Your part in The Wesley Hospital teamWe're currently seeking a General Manager to provide effective leadership, governance and operations of The Wesley Hospital.Reporting to the Group Executive Hospitals, you will work collaboratively as a member of the UCH Senior Leadership Team, accountable for the delivery of all financial and operational targets for the hospital, including the strategic development of our clinical services, revenue maximisation, cost improvement, workforce engagement and high-quality clinical outcomes.You will demonstrate leadership in providing a value driven, safe employment environment and ensuring alignment with UnitingCare's cultural intent, values and strategic priorities; driving business change and improvement within the hospital in a manner that delivers sustainable outcomes, a high-performance culture and optimal staff engagement.What makes a difference for us?Tertiary QualificationsExtensive senior leadership experience in a large private hospital, with a demonstrated track record of driving sustainable financial, operational and clinical performanceStrong financial and business acumenProven ability to exercise sound judgement in decision makingProven ability to engage stakeholders, manage diverse viewpoints and build appropriate partnershipProven ability to provide leadership in professional standards and ethicsAbility to provide effective leadership to medical and other clinical areasAbility to liaise and negotiate with Visiting Medical Practitioners and Medical Staff, balancing Hospital and clinical requirementsEffective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) with particular ability to communicate and negotiate with medical and allied health professionals and fellow executive staffAbility to analyse and provide effective solutions to complex problemsDemonstrated ability to lead the development of a strategic action plan, including development and monitoring of key performance indicators and change processDemonstrated success in building strong, productive working relationships with doctors and specialists to achieve strong hospital performance and growth, and the best possible standard of patient care.Demonstrated success working collaboratively as a member of a leadership teamDemonstrated success operating in a large, complex organisation.Strong record of leading, valuing, motivating and developing employees through large scale change and business improvement processes.Broad clinical understanding as it relates to the development strategic clinical service plansExperience with or sound knowledge of the not for profit sector.Post Graduate Qualifications in Finance, Business, Leadership or relevant field.What makes a difference for you?The Wesley Hospital is one of Australia's iconic and largest private not-for-profit hospitals, caring for you for life.
