Job Description The Junior Fund Accountant is responsible for providing financial services to GROW and our clients, to ensure we are remaining compliant with our financial obligations and meeting our financial performance targets. Responsibilities include: Service Delivery to our Clients - Provide accounting services to our clients through efficient and accurate completion of all assigned accounting tasks including: Assist in preparing relevant financial statements. Review operational costs and issue clients income and expenditure trail balance. Preparation of journals and other monthly reconciliations. Liasing with the Australian Taxation Office, Auditors, banks and any relevant organisations regarding matters for clients. Occasionally assist with data integration to general ledger, cash flow reporting, bank file and unit price uploads. Perform daily bank reconciliations. Assist in preparing month end financial reporting. Assist in preparing Business Activity Statements. Assist in preparing APRA Returns. Undertake research as required for the preparation of tax returns and financial statements for clients and for tax planning purposes. Meetings - Prepare and pro-actively participate in regular 1:1s, Team Meetings and performance reviews Behaviours - Pro-actively demonstrate, contribute to and iphold GROW behaviours, culture and policies Proactively own development as a specialist Role model a commitment to continually evolving our risk culture as a differentiator for our people and clients Build on our Foundation - Contribute to Grow's strategic objective to build on our Foundation to excel in client Service Delivery Actively contribute to forums to identify opportunities to improve existing solutions which demonstrate improved operational efficiency and reduced risk Support SME analysis of incidents to identify root cause and reduction of risk Identify opportunities to support better ways of working with clients, reduce hand-offs or increase member experience/satisfaction This is a Sydney based position and the salary range for this role is $70,000-75,000 + Superannuation. Qualifications The following experience and qualifications are required for the role of Junior Fund Accountant: At least 2 years of experience in the position of Accountant or a similar role in finance administration; A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (required), and a master's degree in a relevant field (not essential but desirable).
