System Engineer Lead - Defence Industry - Canberra

My client specialises in the design, manufacture, integration and optimisation of advanced weapon systems. About You A degree qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, etc.) A minimum 10 years' experience on complex technical development and integration projects Strong supervision and mentoring experience Highly developed English communication skills - written & verbal Advanced data analysis and model development skills Knowledge of ANSI/EIA 632 and ISO/IEC 15288 Broad understanding of industrial control, operational control, and business systems A growth mindset with the ability to recognise and seize opportunities A strong ability to quickly grasp and articulate technologies Prior defence programs experience What you will be doing: Providing a high level of leadership, contributing to and influencing strategy for technologies, product and services; Leading systems engineering teams Working across multiple projects and applying your deep technical knowledge of systems engineering and ASDEFCON Providing mentorship and guidance to engineers and across engineering teams Championing the system engineering process Documenting system designs, safety requirements and specifications Undertaking testing and evaluation activities on systems Engaging with key stakeholders and subject matter experts Developing and implementing systems engineering processes Adhering to and ensuring compliance understanding Other tasks as defined by business requirements The Rewards: This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive industry leader in the defence sector.
