Project and Installation Manager - Premium Blinds, Awnings, External louvres & Sun Shading Shade Factor, a leading specialist in custom-made shading solutions for residential and commercial projects, is expanding its team in Sydney. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee our projects from measurement to installation. If you have a strong technical understanding of architectural plans, excellent project coordination skills, and a passion for delivering high-end shading products, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: Project Management: Manage projects from site measurement through to ordering, technical resolution, and installation planning. Architectural Understanding: Read and interpret architectural plans and details accurately to capture essential information for manufacturing. Site Coordination: Visit project sites, meet with builders, and discuss the implementation of shading products. Capture site conditions and provide detailed information for manufacturing. Provide necessary electrical instructions for shading products. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a strong technical grasp of plans, sections, and details. Provide support to sales and installation teams with your hands-on knowledge. Communication: Effectively communicate with builders, clients, and installation teams via phone, email, and on-site meetings. Problem Solving: Act as a problem solver, addressing technical challenges and ensuring smooth project execution. Drawing: Create technical drawings and documentation, when necessary, hand-drawn and/or computer-aided designs (AutoCAD or SketchUp). Purchase Orders: Manage purchase orders for materials and equipment necessary for installations. Job Planning: Develop comprehensive plans for efficient project execution. Coordination: Coordinate installation teams, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Client Liaison: Liaise with homeowners and builders to provide updates and instructions throughout the project. Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of project management. Requirements: Technical Expertise: Strong technical understanding of architectural plans, sections, and details. Drawing Skills: Proficiency in hand-drawn and/or computer-aided drawings (AutoCAD or SketchUp). Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, for detailed technical discussions with clients, builders, and team members. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful project management. Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured thinker. Multi-Tasking and Agility: Efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Adapt quickly to changing project requirements. Autonomous and Collaborative Work: Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative. Strong collaboration skills, contributing effectively within a team environment. Driving License: Possess a manual driver's license. Residency: Must be an Australian resident. Advantageous: Trade, Technical or Sun Shading Experience Working at heights EWP (Elevating Work Platform) license Scaffold ticket We Offer: Full training, including product knowledge in our specific ranges.
