Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer (Renewables)

Working Location: Working from anywhere within Australia, with a base at one of Ventia's Offices: Parramatta / North Sydney NSW Geelong / Cremorne VIC Adelaide SA Perth WA Darwin NT Brisbane QLD About the Role: We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Ventia Engineering Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Electrical design and project work Carrying out Engineering studies including mentoring of the team Diversity of essential contracts in Defence, Oil & Gas, Energy, Resources & Mining, Power, Telecommunications, Infrastructure, and Manufacturing Working with our Principal and Lead Engineers to drive project design and support our strong Electrical and Instrument team Using industry-leading software and an understanding of first principles and standards to complete power system calculations and modeling Developing and reviewing technical project deliverables Liaising with project stakeholders, clients, internal engineers, and project managers About You: The ideal candidate should have: Electrical Engineering qualifications - Australian Recognised (current RPEQ / CPEng certification, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain these) Experience working in renewable energy, transmission, or distribution sectors is highly desirable Proficient use of various computer packages including Excel, Access & Microsoft Office Suite programs Project Management, Layout drawings - desirable Comfortable and familiar with the application of AS/NZS 3000 and other relevant design standards, statutory regulations, and Australian Standards (specific to Lead and Senior positions) About Ventia: Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
