DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Community focused organisation performing rewarding and meaningful work * Highly Competitive Remuneration & Benefits| Salary Packaging Options * 2 Year Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Based in Logan QLD About You The role will see you engaging, assessing, and providing holistic culturally responsive treatment and/or external referrals to participants of our Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS) who present with a range of complexities including mental health, alcohol and drug problems, offending and complex trauma as well as complexities regarding there visa situations. The role is also responsible for providing guidance to SSI'S SRSS staff in the development of effective case management strategies including referral to external services. Responsibilities: * Deliver culturally responsive psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of SRSS participants who are living with significant mental health conditions, have offending history and struggle with complex trauma as well as visa insecurity. * Participates in the ongoing evaluation of clinical outcomes * Conduct risk assessments, including assessment of suicide risk and violence risk, develop evidence-based safety plans and provide follow up support, referrals and treatment * Provision of alcohol and drug assessment, neuropsychological assessment and mental health reports as required * Provide support and referral options to partners and families, including children of the service as appropriate. * Ensure information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record system, and that records are maintained in accordance with the organisation's and regulatory body's standards * Ensure maintenance of privacy and confidentiality in relation to client information in accordance with organisational policy, cultural protocol and professional ethics and guidelines * Assist in the development and provision of education and training programs. Essential Criteria * Relevant Tertiary degree qualifications * 1-2 years Senior Psychologist level experience. * AHPRA Psychologist Registration (Forensic/Clinical) * Proficiency in addressing diverse clinical concerns presented by adult individuals.
