The Nhulunbuy Corporation is seeking a professional, positive and engaged individual to join our Infrastructure team. The main focus of the Civil Infrastructure Project Engineer is to support the Nhulunbuy Corporation's direction by delivering high quality civil infrastructure, open space and other projects on time, within budget and to Corporation standards. Pre-employment medical and a probation period of up to 6-months will apply. The Role: ESSENTIAL Tertiary qualification or other accredited training in Engineering / Project Management for Infrastructure Projects. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in construction or roads, drainage, and other civil infrastructure assets. Highly developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective communication with a wide variety of people from all levels and background including staff, contractors, and the public. Project Management skills, sound financial and budgeting skills, including the ability to develop and manage project budget allocations. Well-developed negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills. Knowledge of best practice contracting and tendering practices. OTHER SKILLS / EXPERIENCE A desire to understand and cooperate with the traditional owner groups and a desire to respect the cultural boundaries that are present throughout the East Arnhem Peninsula.  Ability to prepare, compile and write-up technical reports. Intermediate computer skills and the ability to create accurate logs, notes and reports in electronic form. Strong ethics and a proven ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team. Ability to interpret and apply legislation and relevant policies. You will work as part of a small team as well as independently and have the ability to manage multiple duties at one time. This is a full-time salaried position with conditions including subsidized accommodation and utilities, motor vehicle or allowance, additional superannuation based on co-contributions and generous leave and leave loading provisions. This position is offered as an ongoing permanent position with a total remuneration package of approx. $200k. You will be required to work a 76 hour fortnight on a work/life balance roster including the possibility of some weekend/public holiday work.
