Manager, Credit AssuranceJob Description Permanent fulltime opportunity Sydney based position Exciting opportunity to join our Credit Risk Assurance team How will I help? We're looking for a Manager of Credit Assurance to join our team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in monitoring and reviewing the credit risk controls for lending activities across our Consumer Mortgages, Consumer Finance, and SME businesses. Your expertise will be essential in assessing credit processes and activities,pleting validation activities, and ensuring the sustainable resolution of risk issues identified by our Credit Assurance team. You'll be responsible for undertaking targeted reviews to address any issues or concerns, providing constructive feedback, and suggesting effective solutions that will enable us to proactively manage remediation or oversight. As a key player in our risk management strategy, you'll assess the management of credit risk within the business, identify control weaknesses, and provide guidance to our local credit, distribution, and operations teams on acceptable practices. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development of our annual coordinated assurance plan for credit assurance reviews and assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls in managing credit risk. You may also have the opportunity to review risk management policies, practices, and standards for application within our business. In terms of coaching and development, you'll contribute to our learning environment by participating in necessary professional development to enhance our risk management capability. You'll share your learnings and best practices across business sites and teams, coach underwriters, bankers, and delegated authority holders to improve their credit risk management capabilities, and make rmendations for national policy and process changes based on review activity findings. To be successful in this role, you'll need to have at least 5 years of relevant consumer and small business banking/credit experience, demonstrated risk management experience within a large corporate, and a solid understanding of risk management & risk optimisation practices. Knowledge of industry issues, trends, practices, and regulatory/statutory legislative requirements related to consumer and small business banking is essential. Experience in control testing, strongmunication skills, influencing & persuasiveness, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage change and strive for continuous improvement are also key requirements.
