Title:  Software Engineer - Graduate Engineer

Eka provides innovative commodity bulk material management systems to the mining and grain industries.

Our clients are large multi-nationals with global presence in commodities markets. We are looking

for Graduate Engineer to join our Adelaide based project team, to start immediately.

You will establish solid working relationships within the project delivery team and with our clients to ensure

projects are delivered to a high standard that exceeds customer expectations.

Competencies, experience and knowledge

• Basic knowledge and understanding about the processes involved in the design, implementation and

commissioning of automation systems

• Understanding of relational databases & Structured Query Language (SQL)

• Strong time-management, documentation and reporting skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to think outside the box and problem solve independently or as a team

• An understanding of control system architectures, PLC system design and basic programming

techniques

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

• Able to work within a team in a variety of roles

• Ability to work independently

Experience in the following would be highly regarded but NOT essential:

•Experience with ISAgraf, Beckhoff, GeFanuc, Schneider and Allen Bradley PLC's

• Knowledge of industrial communications standards

• Knowledge of business process analysis

• Knowledge of xml standards and tools

• Knowledge of .Net and C# development

Education

Relevant tertiary qualifications (i.e.Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Computer Information Science)

Job Location and Linguistic Proficiency In this role, we offer the ability to work remotely.
