NoJob Description: General information: Mission Statement: Lead & manage Grid Automation system projects as Telecommunications / RTU Engineer with Project Management experience ensuring on-time & in-full customer deliverables within Hitachi quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial and contractual commitments.

Your Responsibilities: You will be leading and managing Automation System Telecom opportunities involving various Products in Hitachi Energy portfolio and technologies for Engineering and delivery. You will represent the Engineering function at project meetings and design review meetings for the telecom scope of work and contribute to creation of the project execution philosophy, support continuous improvement of project process and product and system design via provision of lessons learned feedback.

You will be leading and managing assigned projects according to agreed contractual conditions within schedule and budget while acting as single point contact for all delivery fulfilment activities and customer satisfaction from project booking to commissioning and close-out phase.

You will be responsible for coordination and interface with customers, internal delivery units, technical teams (on-shore or off-shore) & other contractors for timely execution of all project activities either directly or by delegating to the concerned team member.

You will take ownership of all aspects of project planning & scheduling, resourcing, timely invoicing & cash collection and review progress periodically & prepare progress reports, communicate to customer and internally to all stakeholders.

You will regularly evaluate project 'costs to complete' vs allocated budget, project risks/opportunities and plan/lead/execute mitigation actions, maintain records and pursue variation claims where applicable and responsible for project financial KPIs in terms of gross margin, cash flow and result of the assigned projects.

You will have good verbal and written communication skills are essential, proven ability to handle customer comments and contractual responses is a must, and act as the champion for Hitachi processes and policies, contribute to development of standard processes and work instructions by adopting Hitachi internal as well as industry best practices.

You will ensure that lessons learned from all execution are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated as continuous improvement actions and promote and enforce safe working environment by enforcing and supporting adequate HSE measures in all activities undertaken by himself & the team and follow ethics and compliances as per company guidelines.

Your Background: Bachelor's Degree - preferable in Engineering Major.

At least 3 to 5 years of Telecom Engineer experience.

Having good knowledge & experience with Fiber Optic Multiplexer (SDH/PDH, MPLS-TP, Booster), Wireless equipment, Power Line Carrier Communication, Networking equipment (Switch, Router, Firewall) & Remote Terminal Unit (RTU).

Have good understanding of telecommunication system in power utility substation environment or any other field.

Have the ability for basic PLC programming in the RTU.

Familiar with Hitachi Energy telecom equipment such as FOX615/515, ETL600, Tropos Wireless Router, NSD570 Tele protection, RTU560 Remote Terminal Unit & FOXMAN NMS, OS Windows and Linux (level Basic & Server).

Have the understanding in networking concept (Routing & Switching, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).

Have ability to work independently. Willing to travel.

Electrical Power related project management exposure in Industrial or utility environment is desirable.

PMP certification or knowledge of PMBOK is an advantage.

Proficiency in both Spoken and Written English is mandatory.
