We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.About the roleReporting to the Senior Shared Service Finance Officer for Accounts Receivable & Collections you will be responsible for processing and monitoring incoming payments in an accurate and efficient manner, ensuring all receipts are allocated accurately and in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for the identification and follow up of aged debtors utilising various communication mediums, escalation and trending of disputes and collection performance reporting to stakeholders.This is a full time maximum term contract role until August 2025. This role offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location, whether that is your home or from an LWB office.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Accounts Receivable functions for National and Regional offices across LWBSet up and maintenance of Debtors, debtor enquiries and related journalsPerform reconciliation of accounts activitiesReceipt cash in all forms and apply remittance amount to appropriate accountMatch payment to customer invoiceReview and escalate non-matched customer payments or unapplied cashSort and prioritise delinquent accountsMonitor delinquent receivables and compliance with payment plansExecute collection contact strategyEscalation of further collection action requirementsFollow dispute management and escalation processesInvestigate and resolve unusual or irregular transactionsMonthly reportingIdentification of any new or existing risks, issues or errors are addressed and escalatedActively contribute to the implementation of organisational projects, strategies and initiativesAssist in general financial analysis related to debtors, invoicing and collectionsSkills & ExperienceDemonstrated experience in Customer to Cash functions, ideally collections and accounts receivable aspects including experience in high volume processing environment.Demonstrated experience using a computerised accounts receivable & or collection system.Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.Demonstrated experience in follow up and collection of outstanding debtorsWorking knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibility.Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies.Demonstrated written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence and other material.A keen eye for detail and an ability to work independentlyProficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).BenefitsJoin one of Australia's largest social purpose organisationsFull time maximum term contract role until August 2025, location flexible.Excellent tax benefits & monthly rostered days offApplications close at midnight on Sunday 21 st April 2024.To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
