In this role, you'll work within the Building Services team as a Senior Fire Protection Engineer.We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer that wants to join their Sydney team and further develop their engineering and consulting skills in an environment that encourages on-the-job training and an internal learning and development program to enhance your foundation skills further.The Day-to-day Role Will Include The FollowingPreparing fire protection engineering design documentation, from concept through to tender and construction phase in support of technical, commercial, regulatory and safety standards.Collaborating with other design teams and engineering disciplines to ensure the coordination and resolution of the overall project design solutions.Assisting in the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, timeframe and quality targets.Interfacing with relevant authorities and project stakeholdersAttending inspections and collaborating with trade contractors to ensure that the designs are installed on-site in accordance with the briefed requirements.The RequirementsBachelor to Master level degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil or Building Services Engineering).7+ years of industry experience within an Australian building services consulting engineering practice.Professional Engineer accreditation under the Victorian BLA framework or the ability to attain the accreditation within a short period.Well-versed across a range of building sectors, e.g. commercial, health, residential, transport, or defence.Experience with fire protection services engineering design and negotiations with relevant authorities such as the fire brigade and Building Surveyors.Intermediate knowledge of relevant Australia Standards and Building Code of Australia.Excellent time management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.Proficiency with fire protection/hydraulic design packages such as HYENA.Understanding of Revit MEP, NavisWorks and BIM would be advantageous but not essentialThe Team EnvironmentTheir Sydney Buildings Services team is highly innovative, industry-leading and includes many long-tenure leaders who have developed excellent relationships with highly sought-after clients.As such, a great work environment affording the industry's first-pick projects has been curated over the years and only continues to grow stronger yearly.
