Senior Manager Food & Beverage

30 Aughtie Dr, Albert Park VIC 3206, Australia Req #488 About the role: At an exciting time in the development and delivery of Food & Beverage (F&B) services across SSC venues, we are looking for someone with the energy, ideas, experience and drive to provide leadership and expertise in optimising this key element of our catering offering to patrons, staff, contractors, tenants, officials, spectators and visitors. The role covers a diverse range of settings including cafes, kiosks, function spaces, pop ups and mobile outlets - both internal and external to the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, innovation and continuous improvement including consistency, quality and profitability across F&B services, facilities and operations, with customer experience a key success measure. Key Responsibilities include, and are not limited to: Coordinate F&B delivery across all venues, including in-house catering, outsourced services and contracted solutions for day to day and functions and events needsManage supplier contracts and relationships, ensuring quality, confidence and cost-effectivenessInnovate to develop strategies that maximise catering opportunities and performance in SSC venues, including margins and revenue growthCoordinate staffing and operational requirements, including training, certifications, licences, permits and compliance.Drive a culture of customer service and utilise customer feedback to deliver quality performance and improvement.Review, develop and implement relevant policies and procedures, ensuring consistency between services and venues and collaboration with internal expertise including Health and SafetyOwn and lead reporting on F&B performance against key performance indicatorsCollaborate with venue hirers and sporting tenants to maximise internal F&B spendDevelop and review annual business plans, budgets and objectives for the F&B function Skills & Required Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in hospitality leadership roles within F&B departmentsStrong organisational and administrative skills and attention to detailCurrent certifications including Responsible Service of Alcohol, Food Safety Supervisor, Working with Children Check, and First Aid and CPRExperience managing diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders in café and event settingsWorking understanding of quality assurance systems and policy developmentExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively How to Apply: This is a permanent fulltime position that needs the right person with the right skills, experience and passion.
