12-month fixed-term role in a community-based insurance organisation Hybrid/flexible working model & Sydney CBD location with harbour views Salary from $ 139k plus superannuation & company benefits on offer About the Role We have a new 12-month opportunity available for a Business Improvement Specialist to create continuous improvement within the relevant icare business area through analysis of business and system processes, designing solutions for pain points and enhancement opportunities and delivering process improvements that release value to icare and those we serve. Apply problem solving techniques, such as Lean Six Sigma, to design and develop solutions for business improvements and capture process design changes. Work closely with relevant business units to gain in-depth understanding of current operational issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Ensure business requirements are captured, understood and people and process changes are designed and documented. Support the business with identifying measures of success and set targets, as well as monitor, measure and provide feedback on process performance. Partner with relevant schemes to identify improvements that have varying levels of systems or technology impacts. Collaborate with cross-functional team members (in Agile or Traditional work practices) to create improvements for icare and those we serve. Skills & Experience Industry certifications in Process Analysis and Design - Lean 6 Sigma, PROSCI accreditations highly desirable. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Business Process Specialist and/or in Continuous Improvement. Customer centric thinker, understanding of business + customer value created through incremental development of processes that enable customer products/services/experiences. Problem solver in complex environments, with a tendency toward emergent solution design using Lean 6 Sigma and other problem-solving techniques with mature process analysis and documentation skills. A positive agitator for change and continuous improvement, acts as a role model for personal situational adaptability and is curious. Highly motivated and engaging individual with exceptional stakeholder management skills, who will listen, consult, and work in close partnership with stakeholders.
