It's a good time to see what more you can find at NAB as an Associate Director, Deal Structuring & Execution (DSE) - High Growth & Emerging Corporate (HGEC), based out of Sydney CBD. Your opportunity We have an exciting and unique opportunity which will marry People Leadership experience as well as delivering to our High Growth & Emerging Corporate Customer needs. The role: In this high-profile People Leadership role, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of DSE Associates and Seniors Associates in the specialised segment of High Growth & Emerging Corporate. In addition, managing team member performance and accountability in line with role requirements; ultimately playing a key role in building world class client relationships and driving superior service outcomes. Be the key DSE partner working with our close-knit Relationship Banking Team, Credit Risk, Legal, Product Specialists and the broader client support teams to help drive business growth and efficiently deliver excellent experience for High Growth & Emerging Corporate customers. Role Purpose: The Associate Director role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to play a leading role in driving specialised Deal Structuring & Execution support in a key market segment. Leading and developing a team of motivated individuals, you will provide key deal support and expertise while playing a pivotal role in leading the transaction through to finalisation. The role and day to day will include Key Role Responsibilities: Support and coach Associates and Senior Associates in both deal structuring and end-to-end file management. Lead a highly motivated and enthusiastic team of Associates and Seniors Associate in a growth segment. Support credit decision jointly with Bankers to Credit under the Delegated Commitment Authority. Contribution towards the delivery of HGEC Business Plan Contribution towards risk and capital management plan; proactive positioning of the portfolio to meet finance plans and regulatory changes; Stakeholder engagement to align plans and performance throughout the financial year. Other: Support Relationship Bankers with origination and prospecting activities. Lead transactions, prepare credit submissions and recommendations to credit, support transaction execution through due diligence and legal documentation (directly or indirectly). Awareness of NAB's credit policies and internal risk appetite and utilise product and sector experience to contribute to problem solving. Deepening industry speciality knowledge - identify development areas to support high performance of the team, coordinate training sessions, arrange Deal Reviews, facilitate working groups, maintain updated industry papers & benchmarking for relevant portfolio sectors. Ongoing monitoring of the risk profile and compliance requirements of client portfolio, ensuring portfolio hygiene is to an excellent standard. Contribute to driving the desired Enterprise culture within the business unit and across NAB built on trust, effective decisions, strategic agility, and constructive challenge. What you will bring: Proven People Leadership Experience Excellent credit writing and analysis, capable of executing complex Business Lending Cashflow transactions. Demonstrated experience across debt structuring & execution, portfolio management, client engagement, preferably within financial services and/or medium to large complex organisations. Business partnering experience with the ability to engage, collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels. A willingness to tackle complex problems and use critical thinking, your network, skills, knowledge, and available data to drive better outcomes for our colleagues, customers, and the bank. A positive attitude and strong motivation for continuous learning and development Ability to develop these capabilities within your team.
