Opportunity for a senior BDM to showcase their skills in new market penetration for a new product released by an experienced organisation. My client delivers exceptional service and innovative solutions to their clients who range from brokers through to suppliers and distributors in the energy space. They are currently expanding their operations after the release of a new product where they have contacts in an exisiting market and are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join their team as a Business Development Manager specialising in new business development in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy sector. Key Responsibilities Identify and assess operational opportunities within the C&I energy space. Utilise a hybrid skillset encompassing Account Management (AM) and Business Development Management (BDM) to drive growth. Conduct assessments to determine resource allocation and support requirements for new ventures. Lead go-to-market strategies and onboard new clients, navigating through the complexities of a long sales cycle. Perform thorough analyses, including SWOT assessments, to leverage strengths, minimise risks, and maximize opportunities. Key Accomplishments: Achieving KPIs and SLAs, such as closing 1-2 significant deals within the first six months. Establishing strong internal and external relationships, ensuring a comprehensive plan of engagement. Implementing long-term technical solutions, particularly leveraging Salesforce, to streamline processes and enhance support capabilities. About you: Experience working across long-term sales cycles (2-4 months) World class presentation and communication skills. Understanding of the steps to take for new to penetrate an existing market with a new product. Strong aptitude for client engagement. You might come from the energy space, energy broker space, C&I energy space, tech space, SAAS space. Comfortable getting out on the road to meet with potential clients. Salesforce experience The Perks Highly regarded organisation in the energy sector. Work closely with highly skilled operators in their space. Generous renumeration of $170,000 BASE with Superannuation and Commissions on top.
