The Executive Director of Quality and Patient Safety (EDQPS) is responsible for the effective leadership and management of the Hospital's North Safety, Quality, Risk and Service Program and for providing leadership and direction in the ongoing strategic development and evaluation of quality and patient safety systems and processes within a clinical governance framework.Provide effective and inclusive implementation of the National Safety & Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards accreditation scheme, the National Aged Care Quality Standards, local integrated quality, improvement and patient safety programs, consistent with the organisational needs and in keeping with contemporary practice.Develop, foster and support a professional culture aligned to the organisation's values, promoting and supporting strategic direction for clinical governance and safe service delivery across the region.This role works across clinical and non-clinical areas.

The Hospitals North is comprised Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is a level 5 tertiary Hospital within the Tasmanian Role Delineation Framework and Primary Health North. The LGH has 349 inpatient beds, 117.7 presentations to the Emergency Department daily, 5 births daily. Primary Health North is comprised of a number of district hospitals, residential aged care facilities and community services.Our values are Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. Salary:$165,446 - $182,913per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
