The company's goal is to revolutionize concussion assessment and management through technology. Headsafe's present focus is on scientific and clinical research of the next iteration of NUROCHEK and its application in the assessment of brain function, with research partnerships in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

ResponsibilitiesThe Research Coordinator is responsible for planning, initiating, maintaining, and documenting clinical research projects within and outside the company (external contract research). This includes maintaining oversight of clinical research sites (sports clubs, medical clinics, hospitals, etc) that enroll and assess participants in ethics-approved studies. The role is a vital clinical component that works hand-in-hand with the product attributes and the company's overall sales and marketing aspirations.

Duties and activities that constitute the performance of the job:Responsibility for clinical research and research staffRecruit and screen potential study participants and perform intake assessmentsCoordinates research logisticsActs as a point of reference for study participants and researchers by answering questions and keeping them informed on the study's progressCollects and inputs data and patient information into electronic systemsCreates reports on each study, including notes on protocols, workload, data collection, and moreSupports the creation and/or maintains all documents and records related to clinical researchAttends meetings, events, and seminars to promote the studySupport in ethics maintenanceSupport in publicationsQualifications and AttributesThe ideal candidate for this role is an individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical research, a degree or experience from a recognized institution in neuroscience/medical science, and a keen interest in biomedical technology. This role requires good communication skills to coordinate logistics between researchers, event organizers, and research assistants at study events. An individual who enjoys contact sports would take great joy out in this role due to the current engagement with sporting disciplines from grassroots to professional levels across greater Sydney.
