ING, Australia's most recommended bank for the 4th year, is looking for an experienced Manager Finance Business Control, who'll be responsible for advising Finance in the identification and management of non-financial risk (operational, regulatory and compliance risks) in line with the Risk Appetite Statement, policies and regulatory obligations. This role forms an integral part of the 1st Line of Defence.

Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Reporting and Control, you'll be an Executive level adviser to all Finance Functions (Reporting, Control, Advice, Procurement and Tax) on the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of non-financial risks including development and maintenance of the business risk profile and assessment of Risk in Change.

You'll play a leadership role in the Finance Leadership Team, helping drive the team to achieve objectives including Ad hoc analysis, investigations or participation in projects; working with 2nd Line of Defence and various stakeholders to drive improvements to tools, processes and systems; participating in tool or system pilot activities; developing and delivering training material or education to uplift business awareness and capability in relation to risk; undertaking root cause analysis, lessons learnt or remediation investigation activities to support Finance teams as needed and coordinating responses, impact assessments and points of view related to regulatory change and inquiries across Finance teams as needed.

What you'll do Monitor and track non-financial risk items (issues, events, audit actions) and ensuring timely actioning aligned to policy and procedureFacilitate periodic reviews of business and products to ensure maintenance of risk profile and compliance with policy and regulatory obligationsDrive Finance teams in development and monitoring of controls, undertaking controls testing and due diligence as needed to support Enterprise Risk ManagementProvide reporting, analysis and insights to support to Finance leaders and Management Committee's in effective identification and management of non financial risksDevelop expertise in end-to-end products and processes supporting the Finance businessWhat we're looking for Understanding of regulatory and compliance regimes associated with credit products and Retail & Wholesale Banking products (AML/ KYC, Privacy, Banking Code of Practice, Consumer Credit Code etc.)Experience in leading / managing teams (nice to have)Previous experience in a Risk or Compliance role (Financial or Non-Financial) either within 1st or 2nd Line10+ years' experience in a Retail Banking / Financial Services environmentDemonstrated ability to work effectively with key stakeholders by building and maintaining relationshipsStrong verbal and written communication with excellent analytical skillsExperience coordinating an offshore teamExceptional stakeholder engagement experienceWhat's in it for you?
