Due to our growing pipeline of interesting and challenging projects, we are looking for a Team Leader Civil & Structural Engineering in our flagship Brisbane office. In this role you will be expected to support and collaborate on a range of projects with other Technical Disciplines, including (but not limited to) Geotechnics, Transport Advisory, Planning and Approvals, Hydrology & Hydrogeology and Environmental Specialist Services, servicing national and international projects.

  Key Responsibilities Job tasks and responsibilities

The opportunity would suit a self-motivated, problem solver to deliver integrated solutions to our clients while also managing workflows, training and mentorship across a team. 

Working closely with the Technical Discipline Manager, you'll play a key role in motivating this high performing team of 8 engineers and designers. The team is not only technically astute, but an outstanding group of individuals with a friendly and supportive culture. 

This leadership role offers excellent long-term rewards and opportunities for learning, expanding technical knowledge and career advancement, including: Being responsible for managing the professional development and promotion process for your team with the support of our people and culture team and the Technical Discipline ManagerWorking on a wide range of projects at the technical advisory level, across the Infrastructure, Built Environment , Manufacturing & Industry, Mining and Resources and Power & Energy Sectors.Undertaking a rage of technical tasks, including:Lead Civil Design and DocumentationProgram and Schedule DevelopmentTender ManagementContractor Management and Supervision/ Construction Management and SupervisionChallenge the norm with the objective of continuous improvementBuilding autonomy as a leader in the business, developing independent internal and external client relationships and growing your own project portfolio.Mentoring and leading staff, providing technical oversight and assisting with recruitment.  Skills and experience

Outside wanting to join a positive and friendly team, the right candidate should have:10+ years' experience with tertiary qualifications in civil engineering RPEQ accreditation (Civil and/or Structural) Experience in the management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projectsHave excellent written and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to manage relationships in a teamCompetency in civil design, including the development of design solutions for roads, civil structures, infrastructure, earthworks and drainage. A technical expert with an extensive network and proven project winning experienceAn excellent attitude and be capable of working within a dynamic environment.Well-developed creative, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills Experience managing a team will be highly regarded. However we will also consider an exceptional performer with excellent interpersonal skills looking to step in to management.  Benefits
