Main duties of the jobAs the Senior Security Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our violence and aggression reduction and security agenda. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to minimise security risks and create a safe and secure environment, for patients, visitors, and staff members. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the overall safety and security of our hospital community, while maintaining a sensitive patient centred service.

Security operations at the hospital are currently delivered through partnership with a security contractor, the contract for which you will be the designated contract manager, responsible for contract management, providing guidance and support to ensure effective security operations, and for the management of our security infrastructure. You will also be integral to defining our long term plan.

You will contribute to developing and implementing a comprehensive security and violence and aggression strategy tailored to the specific needs of our hospital.

Supporting the site operations, emergency planning and operational security teams when significant events arise in the trust.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesKey responsibilities include : Collaborating with internal stakeholders up down and across the organisation to assess security risks and threats and develop proactive mitigation strategies and drive a pro-security culture throughout the workforce and services.Implement a robust security assurance program to to assess risk, threats, monitor performance and identify and implement improvements and corrective actions. Providing assurance or escalation for trust scrutiny.Provide advice, guidance, and input on the development of trust policy and procedures.
