Assistant Director of Nursing - MSH Patient Flow ProgramMetro South Health are looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing to join their team in the Patient Flow Program at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. This department's primary objective is to support the ability of the health service to maximise capacity for patient care and resource allocation by using a patient centred approach that promotes timely access to safe, quality care. This is achieved through the adaptation of contemporary and creative strategies that eliminate constraints in a patient's journey.

About the Role The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides contemporary operational and professional nursing leadership for the MSH PFP nursing and administration staff. The role shapes clinical and corporate governance; and provides the coordination of service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.

The ADON has highly developed data analysis skills and the ability to provide high level advice on Patient Flow strategies to the Director of Nursing MSH PF & CCS and MSH executive teams.

This role reports operationally and professionally to the Director of Nursing MSH PF & CCS.Has Metro South responsibilities and or accountabilities.This position has operational and professional responsibility of approximately 10 FTE.Responsible and accountable for cost centre management in accordance with Metro South Health (MSH) Financial Sub-Delegations Manual and MSH Human Resource Sub-Delegations Manual.Responsible for portfolios and other duties as delegated and or directed.Collaborate with nursing and midwifery colleagues, interdisciplinary stakeholders, committees and advisory groups which support operational and strategic functions of the patient flow.Plays a strategic role in supporting and coordinating the patient's journey underpinned by the principles of delivering coordinated patient care; establishing partnerships across different health providers and sectors; improving patient outcomes; and enabling improvements across the system.Works collaboratively across MSH within an interdisciplinary environment to facilitate best practice and high-quality patient outcomes.Find out about the role in more detail and how to apply in the attached Role Description.
