Our APAC Hydrogeology business one of the largest in Australia and our Brisbane team the biggest within APAC.

We have an excellent career opportunity within our Hydrology & Hydrogeology team for a full-time Hydrogeologist or Geologist with an interest in hydrogeology to join our QLD team. You will have flexibility across a range of projects and we would also consider people from an environmental science background with an interest in hydrogeology, water science or geology. This role will be based in Brisbane and you will work closely with our senior team to ensure the delivery of quality environmental services to our internal and external clients.

We are looking for someone who loves Brisbane, science, and the outdoors! Key Responsibilities Job tasks and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include: Undertake routine integrated field monitoring programs which include groundwater and surface water sampling, while following SLR procedures and industry best practice. Perform hydrogeological field studies that include site investigations, drilling programs, monitoring bore installations and hydraulic testing Prepare quality factual reports based on field and laboratory data collected for, or provided by clients Interpret multi-disciplinary scientific data to assist in the development of sound conceptual hydrogeological models Undertake tasks to produce high quality Environmental Management documentation (i.e. technical studies and environmental approvals) Develop, facilitate and enhance relationships between our internal and external clients and SLR team members Contribute to winning work through good delivery and service and by identifying client needs and opportunities, sharing these with the broader team Administrative and financial management tasks including budget preparation and monitoring, accurate and timely responses to requests as required by project demands and timelines Skills and experience

To do this effectively you'll have: Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution in water resources science / hydrogeology / geology or related discipline or similar relevant degree. Those in their final year of tertiary qualifications are also encouraged to apply with part time or casual arrangements supported for such candidates. Proficient written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely A desire to join a team focused on delivering high quality geological and hydrogeological assessments Must have the ability to travel regularly for work Experience in the construction, and/or mining sector would be highly regarded. Demonstrated team player and able to self-motivate and take ownership of and be accountable for delivery of tasks and projects Previous field experience in applied geological, geotechnical or groundwater projects is not required but will be highly regarded. Beneficial (but not essential) Experience with using GIS and spatial data analysis software packages Experience in supporting key aspects of project management and administration, as well as subcontractor and HSE management A high level of competency in all aspects of groundwater field work Experience in surface water and hydrological assessments is desirable Experience in the contaminated land sector is desirable Strong client relationships and, business development skills Previous 4WD experience and training is highly desirable Our benefits at SLR include
