About the role We are seeking expressions of interest fromĀ  Senior Project Engineers with SMP / civils experience to work on a resources project based in the Albany Region of Western Australia. Reporting to the Project Leader, this role will operate on a FIFO or DIDO basis. A key focus of your role will be to lead and coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time, quality and budget objectives safely. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the achievement of Laing O'Rourke's safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences. Provide project engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process; Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress; Direct interface with the construction crews/subcontractors to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting and forecasting. Support the site construction crews with developing and communication of work packages. Assisting with technical queries. Provide direction and supervision for Site and Project Engineers, as required. About you You will hold a tertiary degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Experience working for Tier 1 construction contracting companies in Australia on SMP resource projects. A strong commercial acumen. Strong problem solving, organisational and communication skills.
