Job Description WT continues to secure a number of high-profile $billion + projects and in line with this unparalleled growth of our project pipeline, the Melbourne office is expanding, in particular the M&E business are looking for an established MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their talented team and work across a wide variety of build and infrastructure projects. Core Responsibilities: Develop and maintain cost estimates for engineering services onprojects, from Class 5 budgets to detailed design stages Conduct cost analysis on engineering projects and provide accurate estimates for materials, labour, and other expenses Advise project managers and other stakeholders on cost-saving measures and cost-effective solutions Prepare bills of quantities or schedules of materials, labour, and equipment required for the project Analyse and review contractor bids to ensure accuracy and completeness Work with engineers, project managers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all requirements Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors Prepare and agree progress payments, assess variations and claims, and report costs vs budgets Monitor and report on project expenses and ensure that project finances are properly managed Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field / trade experience equivalent Minimum of 2years of experience in cost engineering or construction cost estimating Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of engineering materials, building regulations, and construction methods Experience with estimating software and tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Additional Information At WT,in addition to your competitive salaryweoffer many perks including: Paid professional memberships and on-going support in gaining your membership costs for RICS and AIQS Three / Two split between the office and working from home.
