Job Title: Junior Manufacturing Engineer Purpose of the role: Airport & Airline Operations is a new area of IT diversification for Amadeus. Amadeus is strongly committed to aggressively grow this new division which it sees as a key strategic objective in order to lay the foundations of future growth. The aim of this new unit is to provide Airport & Airline Operational solutions to the segments of Airports Authorities, Airlines, and Ground Handlers. Airport & Airline Operations also develop and manufacture self-service hardware and related software applications for airports and airlines. Hardware includes a range of auto bag drop models ranging from retrofit to high-end full desk replacement solutions, 3 models of check-in kiosks and biometric solutions including biopods and gate are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer reporting to the Quality and Optimization Manager to ensure the quality and efficiency of our hardware production. You will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Team to deliver hardware for Airport implementation projects, providing technical support, improving manufacturing processes and collaborating with other disciplines to transition the conceptual to production.Main Responsibilities:Provide manufacturing related troubleshooting support to the Manufacturing & Project Teams, and Partner factoriesMaintain and improve QC checklists and overall QC systemOptimize manufacturing processes based on feedback and experienceImprove Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in conjunction with Design TeamSupport in house prototyping and testing of new productsSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) for our partner (contract) manufacturersContribute to the creation of manufacturing process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Provide Project Management support to manufacturing scaling projectsExperience Required:A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related fieldRead and understand mechanical and electrical designs drawingsExperience in 3D modelling systems (Ideally Autodesk Inventor & Vault)Manufacturing experience including sheet metal fabrication, contract assembly and factory acceptanceStrong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsDiversity & Inclusion:We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and seek to hire the best candidate regardless of age, beliefs, disability, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
