Work type: Fixed term - Part-time

Campus: Adelaide Technical, Laboratory and Research Support, Administration, HEO6 (HE06) $86,360 - $93,285 per annum (pro rata) plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed term, part-time (0.5FTE) opportunity until 14 March 2025 for a Research Ethics Officer (Human) within the Office of Research Ethics, Compliance and Integrity (ORECI), Research Services.

Working under general direction the Research Ethics Officer (Human) provides administrative support in relation to the University's human research ethics applications including the provision of secretarial support to ethics committees, the collection and submission of relevant reports to statutory bodies on behalf of the committees, management and maintenance of appropriate records, contributing to the development of the ethics processes, web site and information systems and responding to internal and external queries.

To be successful you will need: General understanding of research and familiarity with, and knowledge of, codes, legislation and standards relating to human research ethics. Demonstrated reliability in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters. Ability to use initiative and judgement, instigate and undertake tasks with minimum supervision and work effectively both independently and as a team member. Demonstrated capacity to evaluate and interpret complex rules, policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritise competing demands and maintain work accuracy and attention to detail in a pressured environment. Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support, including servicing committees.

The successful candidate will be a service-oriented team player with strong organisational and administrative skills, high level interpersonal and written communication skills, and proficiency in software applications.
