About the Company Our client is a world-class end-to-end IT services provider who works with organisations from all sectors around the globe. About the role

Working in a Field capacity, you will have the opportunity to be involved with various Infrastructure and hardware projects. These projects can vary from Retail projects including Point of Sale decommission and rollouts working with printers, scanners and till systems or corporate projects including working with desktops, laptops and tablets and providing various support tasks.

While the initial project will be located in Sydney CBD, subsequent work will often be conducted at different sites around Sydney, and occasionally around New South Wales. When working at regional sites, travel will be arranged, and expenses paid for by the client.

This role has an ASAP start and is a 12 week initial contract with potential to extend, depending on performance and capacity.

Schedule/hours Standard projects will be full time (40 hours per week). Work is ad-hoc in nature therefore, there are NO guaranteed hours. Every effort will be made by this client to involve you in suitable projects and shifts.

Due to the nature of these hardware projects, at times the work is done in the evenings or at night to avoid disruption on operations. Hours worked outside of ordinary hours will result in penalty rates.

Responsibilities Field incoming calls regarding the controlled retail environment

On-site POS devices installation, configuration, testing, tagging and troubleshooting.

Auditing the equipment on various client site(s) and updating the inventory and asset management register.

Testing all POS peripherals (Eftpos, Printer, Scanner & Scale, and Cash Draw) after installing them.

De-Install all the old equipment and pack them on the pallets for ready to be collected.

Requirements Mandatory: Excellent communication skills

Strong technical literacy

Must pass a police check prior to commencing

Successful applicants will be required to purchase and carry a small toolkit.

Full, clean NSW driver's License and your own vehicle to use when travelling to sites

Ability to travel to project sites (City locations and regional)

Ability to work full time hours

Desirable:

Desktop support/rollout experience using Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Remote Desktop

Previous PoS (Point of Sales) hardware implementation or diagnostic experience - would be beneficial.
