Taking a project from DA through to delivery. Our client is a boutique construction consultancy offering construction planning, advice and client project management services across Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Mixed-use, Retail and Hotel sectors. They are now seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join their professional team in their Sydney office.
A high degree of client and stakeholder liaison will be involved, from feasibility stage to delivery stage of the project. Leadership, communication and people management skillset will be paramount along with a strong base of technical knowledge and ability to administer a contract.
Candidates can come from a consultancy or head contractor background and ideally have experience in new build projects of a similar nature.
You will be taking projects from front end advisory through the 360 process of delivering the job. You will be coming on from the beginning of the journey. Having strong experience in administering a contract will be important.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Client management and consultation Business Development Project Planning/Feasibility studies Risk Management Value Engineering Design Management and Value Engineering Procurement of construction services Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent Managing project delivery Commissioning and post contract duties for handover Mentor staff Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor of Construction Management Engineering, Architecture or property related qualification 5 to 10 plus years of end to end project management on building projects Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture Excellent verbal and written communication skills Previous client side project management experience ideal This is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and innovative organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
