Technology, Data, Privacy and Corporate Governance lawyer, 2-3 PAEOur Sydney team is seeking a junior lawyer to focus on governance and data privacy matters as well as on corporate and commercial transactions. 05th March, 2024About the team Within our Corporate and Commercial team sits our regulatory and advisory specialists who work with clients on matters including Data and Privacy, Corporate governance and related issues, Competition and Consumer. The team works with clients in both the private and public sector.About the role Based in our Sydney office the role will work primarily alongside General Counsel Lyn Nicholson who has an interesting and thriving governance and data privacy practice offering innovative work as well as with corporate and commercial partners Darren Pereira and William work on offer is wide ranging within the advisory/regulatory sphere and includes working with clients on commercial contracts and other arrangements, regulator enquires/ investigations and assisting with drafting and reviewing policies, charters and other issues. Preparation of Privacy Impact Assessments and assisting on data breaches is a key part of the work.Given the nature of the practice exposure to and familiarity with Privacy, and Australian Competition and Consumer Law as well as general background in the Corporations Law would be well group works with our clients across a variety of sectors, across the full spectrum of corporate transactions and commercial matters, including:Data and privacy including spam, AI and related competition matters.
