Who we are Based a few kms south of the city Marion Outdoor Pool is Adelaide's Premier Recreation destination boasting a host of attractions with its stunning grassed areas three pools, two large water slides and splash park features. The pool is a seasonal Facility operating October through to April and attracts over 100 thousand visitors each year. The Role Marion Outdoor Pool is now recruiting for entry level and experienced lifeguards. This position is eligible for ages 18 years and above. Marion Outdoor Pool runs a Learn to Swim program, hosts parties and events, and holds various fitness events. As a Lifeguard, you will have a desire to encourage people of all ages to learn the vital life skill of taking safety precautions around water, whilst fostering their confidence in it. You will be energetic and enjoy working with children. Supervising the pools and the surrounding areas Enforcing and educating the public about the Watch Around Water Policy Ensure the safety of patrons both inside and outside the pools Responding appropriately to emergency situations Ensure incidents of significance are reported to the responsible person Report risks or potential risks identified within the Council premises Weekend availability is a must Qualifications Lifeguards are required to possess all the following certificates: Pool Lifeguard Certificate Provide CPR Provide First Aid Working with children check Child Safe Environments Certificate (Responding to Abuse and Neglect) How to apply To be successful in securing a position, you will hold all of the above certificates, or be willing to obtain copies prior to commencement.
