Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the People Risk & Data Lead will be pivotal in managing and mitigating people risks while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and organisational policies. This unique role involves compliance management, risk assessment, policy development, data privacy, security, and extensive HR analytics. This role will own all people-related systems and are accountable for vendor management, SLAs and issues resolution (including systems outages/QA etc).

Key Responsibilities: HR Compliance Management: Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. Stay current with legislation changes, coordinate HR audits, and collaborate with legal departments on HR-related matters.People Technology: You will own the people-related systems and are accountable for vendor management, SLAs and issues resolution (including systems outages/QA etc)Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Lead the identification and mitigation of potential HR risks, develop strategies, and conduct risk assessments to protect the organisation and its employees.Policy Development and Maintenance: Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal standards and organisational needs.Data Privacy and Security: Oversee data privacy and security initiatives in collaboration with IT, ensuring HR systems and processes comply with data protection laws.Data, Reporting, Analytics: Take charge of HR data analysis, develop and maintain HR reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights to inform HR and business decisions. About You: Your current skills and experience show that you've thrived in a role focused on people risk, people technology, governance, HR data, analytics and insights.You bring the experience of working in a similar role in a highly regulated industry - we are largely a financial services business (insurance) and governed by APRAYou possess a deep understanding of HR compliance, risk management principles, and data privacy and can demonstrate how they enable people and contribute to the overall people strategy.An effective influencer with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams and levels.You're a born problem solver with strong project management skills, who can navigate ambiguity and drive practical solutions.Your natural curiosity, desire to be forensic in detail and ability to translate detail into plain language for stakeholders will be embraced in this role!
