Legal Counsel 6-month full-time position (part-time will be considered) - extended leave coverBox Hill with potential for some remote working Great health law exposure working at the coal face with senior lawyers Eastern Health Eastern Health is one of Melbourne's largest public health services. About the role This Legal Counsel role manages a substantial litigation portfolio, including supporting Eastern Health in coronial inquiries and matters before various Commissions, as well as providing general legal support for senior lawyers where time permits.

About you You -

are keen to kick start your career in health law, or to gain further exposure to in-house legal practice with senior in-house lawyers as well as working with external lawyers and our insurerhave the ability to coordinate a number of time critical requests in order to manage litigation for the organisation (under the guidance of senior lawyers)are keen to support stakeholders with their requests for legal support on a wide range of matters, including medico-legal issues and drafting and reviewing agreements wherever time permitshave a genuine interest in health laware a strong communicator, with great organisational and interpersonal skillswill thrive in a high volume, fast paced and dynamic environment and to work autonomously and as part of a teamPlease refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.
