Non-Executive Director - Finance

Amaroo, operating in the Southern Eastern suburbs of Perth and the Great Southern, has been helping older people overcome barriers to live the lives they choose for over 50 years.

In line with our strategic plan and succession planning, Amaroo is seeking an experienced Non- Executive Director with extensive finance and accounting skills at an executive level to join our Board of Directors and with the potential to take on the role of Chair of our Board's Finance, Audit & Risk Management Committee.

It is an exciting time to join this respected, community-based aged care provider, especially in this leadership position to make a real difference to the lives of older people into the future.

Essential experience, skills and qualifications Excellent knowledge of strategic finances, governance principles, legal obligations and ethical standards applicable in Australia Financial and Risk Management Strong communication skills, a high level of emotional intelligence, and the ability to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders Strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a track record of participating and supporting organisations through strategic planning processes and implementation Desirable experience, skills and qualifications Experience in the health and/or aged care sectors Experience in the property development and/or commercial management sectors Experience in information technology security and data privacy governance Legal acumen Knowledge of the communities and geographic areas in which we operate The candidate we seek will share our values, be a confident and respectful contributor, a politically astute and progressive thinker who is prepared to entertain responsible risk to deliver outcomes.
