About the role We are looking for a Supervisor Plant Maintenance to lead our site-based to lead a team of maintainers providing maintenance to fixed plant assets at Gudai -Darri . This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills, coupled with your technical knowledge to effectively coordinate execution of work.

You'll be part of a friendly team , supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You'll work a family and lifestyle friendly 8 days off, 6 days off roster from Perth , which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Maintenance you will:

Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations Organise and manage weekly scheduled maintenance work Be responsible for a team executing breakdown repair works on the Fixed Plant Manage Fixed Plant Maintenance activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact Follow the work management process to ensure Fixed Plant availability is maximised Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to operations while maintenance and improvements are being performed What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members Knowledge of maintenance principles Contractor management experience An understanding of the work management process and principles Experience working in fixed plant operations, maintenance or similar A Current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence (Manual) What we offer Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you've helped the world progress. Where you'll be working Our $A3.6 billion Gudai -Darri iron ore mine is our most technologically advanced mine. In addition to leveraging technology already in use across Rio Tinto, such as autonomous trucks, trains and drills, Gudai -Darri also has more than 70 design innovations including a reclaimer with a rotable bucket wheel, a world class laboratory and in-field access to data and systems for all team members.

The Caterpillar mining fleet at Gudai -Darri includes autonomous trucks, production drills, and in a world first, autonomous water carts .

Located 110km north-west of Newman, Gudai -Darri will produce up to 4 9 million tonnes of iron ore a year in its first phase, contributing to our flagship product, the Pilbara Blend. It will also become a production hub for our iron ore business, incorporating world class infrastructure and a 166-kilometre rail line connecting the mine to our existing network.

Gudai -Darri is creating jobs and business opportunities in Western Australia. More than 2,000 people have been employed as part of its construction with approximately 600 permanent operational roles created.
