What you'll do: Key Job Objectives

To support the Finance Team:Month end and financial reportingFinance review meeting reportingWider Leadership Team reportingOther Duties:

Month end close and reporting duties to include but not limited to key responsibilities belowAnalysesJournal preparationGeneral Ledger ReconciliationsCoordinating weekly reporting requirements for business unitBU monthly reportingBalance sheet reconciliationsSupport to budget and forecast presentationsR&D tax calculationMonthly preparation and submission of VAT returnPreparation of Eurofighter VOP calculationSupport to Operations Finance Lead, including standard costs, job card variance investigation, and inventory held at suppliersAd hoc support to the Finance leadership team

  Qualifications: Preferable but not essential:Graduate - preferably in a related subject area

  Skills: Numerate, logical and able to express yourself clearly in figures , verbal and written presentationsAble to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracyA confident communicator, able to work effectively at all levels of the organisationAble to display the gravitas to operate and influence at a senior levelFurther competencies will be provided via the competency matrix, and linked to the relevant job levelPart qualified accountant, AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, able & willing to complete study under a training programme
