The role This newly created role which sits on our Senior Leader Group, is positioned to drive continuous improvement, enhancing the performance our Quarry, Concrete and Masonry Business

Success in the role will require a combination of influential coaching and leadership capability and Lean, analytical and project management skills to identify, influence for, and implement improvements nationally.

The Operational Excellence Manager role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of CAM In terms of location, this role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney with regular travel to our operational sites in SA, VIC, NSW, QLD and NT required.

In collaboration with key stakeholders, conduct detailed analysis of the current state and using data-driven insights, identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reductionDevelop insights and reports on operational performance, including benchmarks against industry standards or best practices.Evaluate and prioritise potential improvements and seek relevant approvals, clearly defining improvement objectives, scope and success criteriaEstablish clear implementation plans and actively manage riskUse project management methodology/tools to capture, manage and report on initiativesEmploy change management techniques to influence buy-in and behaviour changePlan, facilitate and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools. Teach, lead and coach cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologyLead projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.Motivate employees to improve performance by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Develop new processes to streamline operations and improve customer serviceQualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.Lean Six Sigma qualification highly regarded.Project Management (PMP) certification required.Requirements: Operational, commercial and continuous improvement experience within quarrying, manufacturing, transportation or logistics required.Strong leadership and project management skills, a passion for continuous improvement and proven track record in other organisations delivering best-in-class outcomes in waste reduction, productivity, safety and sustainability.Previous application of process and quality improvement methodologies tools and techniques. Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen highly regarded.Previous experience in process improvement workshopping and root cause analysis.Significant project and program experience at all life cycle stages.Advanced in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI or similarExcellent communication skillsOur business Adbri Limited is a constructions materials and industrial minerals manufacturing company that has been building a better Australia since 1882.
