The Offer Oversee the development and implementation of the renewable energy business in Australia. Leadership Role Opportunity to make a positive impact The Job You will be responsible for : Develop and implement the company's renewable energy strategy in Australia in alignment with the Japanese HQ's vision and goals. Oversee the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage facilities. Manage and mentor the local team, ensuring they have the necessary resources to achieve their objectives and deliver excellent results. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, customers, suppliers, and partners. Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape, and provide regular updates to the HQ. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, and implement effective risk management practices. Collaborate with other departments within the company, including finance, legal, and engineering, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Coordinate with banks and investors with support from the HQ. Prepare presentations, update the financial model of projects and other materials as required. Manage the budget, forecast revenue and expenses, and report regularly to the HQ. The Profile Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the renewable energy industry in Australia. Minimum 2 years in a leadership role, including development of people, and management of teams. Proven track record of successfully managing operations in Australia, including project development, construction, and operation. Strong business acumen and understanding of the Australian market and regulatory environment. Coordinate with banks and investors with support from the HQ. Prepare presentations, update the financial model of projects and other materials as required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Strong financial skills, with experience of financial modelling, project finance and M&A. Fluent in English, with Japanese language proficiency a plus. Ability to travel domestically as required for the projects and internationally as required (potentially twice a year to Japan or other locations). Experience working for Japanese company a plus.
