We are currently seeking a number of APS3 Administration/ Access Officers to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in Brisbane CBD. The Role The role requires the application of clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities. The APS3 Access Officers may have some public contact and is required to communicate with and provide straightforward advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include-Reviewing, processing and assessing documentation and ensuring all information is available for an access decision in accordance policy and legislationMaking appropriate access decisions in accordance with delegated authority.Responding to phone and email enquiries about access and eligibility, providing thorough information and effective support to internal and external stakeholdersMaintaining records and undertaking a range of data entry responsibilities in accordance with Agency standards and policies.Manage incoming and outgoing correspondenceScanning and filing documents within Agency standards and policiesInforming prospective participants of their application progress as well as their rights and obligations.About You The team is geographically dispersed, so candidates with the ability to work independently along with strong communication, assessment and analytical skills are strongly encouraged to apply.In addition to this you will have -Previous administration experience, preferably within a large company or government agencyIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft programmes (Outlook, Word and Excel)Ability to produce work of high quality within tight deadlinesStrong customer service skillsIdeally you will have experience working with people with disability or lived experience of disabilityAbility to obtain Blue Card (WWCC) and NDIS WSCThe good partsThese positions are for an initial term of 6- months with view to extensionApplicants will work full-time business hours - no weekend or evening shifts are requiredAPS3 equivalent offering $. per hourFull training will be providedClose to public transport - Bus and TrainAs this role is within the Federal Government, applications are required to hold Australian Citizenship in order to be considered.If you are interested in this role, please APPLY NOW by clicking the available link.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
