Utilise your Solar & Wind Energy expertise as a Senior Renewable Engineer, supporting our Renewables team from WSP's Perth office. Lead, manage and provide technical oversight/excellence in the provision of due diligence, Lender and Owner's Engineer services.

Energy Our Energy team helps clients maintain safe and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to support sustainable city transitions.

What you'll do: Drafting and negotiating specifications and technical schedules for contracts Assessing EPC tenders and negotiating with tenders Leading technical due diligence of projects Project Management Site inspections and construction compliance and progress monitoring Contractor payment claim review and certification Writing and reviewing technical reports Establishing/consolidating a strong internal network of supporting resources in each discipline and state to support this work Supporting team development including providing leadership and training to junior staff, and using your knowledge base to support the broader WSP business Business development, including bid leadership, building industry relationships and presenting at conferences Proactively meet with key clients to build trusted advisor relationships Leading and preparing successful multidisciplinary bids and proposals About you: Renewable Energy or Engineering Bachelor's degree with proven experience in solar &/or wind energy projects A background working in professional services consulting Experience working on or providing services to utility scale renewable energy projects in Australia Civil Engineer with site experience and/or contract administration/superintendent an advantage Understanding of renewable energy project development and construction Experience reviewing / preparing technical reports, specifications Proven due diligence experience in relation to project management, developing procedures, reporting and technical review. Contract certifier/superintendent/principal's representative experience an advantage Familiarity with construction and O&M Contracts Strong communication skills to provide a high standard of written communication for written deliverables to clients, etc. Conducting wind farm/construction site inspections for compliance with design and local standards, progress monitoring and milestone certification is beneficial Demonstrated ability to communicate industry jargon to those outside of the industry About WSP WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms, bringing together approximately 5,000 talented people across 14 offices in Australia.
