DT Infrastructure is ramping up its Renewables Construction Business and is looking for a Precontracts Engineering Manager to lead the technical and engineering aspects on Precontract Bids across renewable projects including solar, wind, battery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and to help shape the future of the renewable energy business.

Position Purpose Reporting to the Chief Officer Strategy & Growth you will be responsible for maintaining and imparting the principles of an Accredited Engineering Organisation within the DT Infrastructure precontracts business in the bid development of Renewable projects.

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to Review the bid development process ensuring that the Client, Energy Organisations and DT Infrastructure processes and procedures are complied with. Lead tender design, planning, integration and engineering for renewable projects, including the management of design consultants and specialist suppliers, review of temporary works, construction methodologies and construction staging. Overseeing the selection of preferred design partners and specialist suppliers. Foster relationships with the various design consultants and specialist suppliers in collaboration with DT Infrastructure's Regional Engineering Managers. Oversee the facilitation of Risk and Opportunity. Review and approve project plans and specifications. Provide lessons learnt from tenders. About You Minimum of 10 years engineering experience in design & engineering and design/construction management involvement in associated Renewables projects. Qualified professional engineer to Bachelor of Engineering level. Understanding of cost control and budget preparation and ability to manage projects to budget. Technical aptitude, good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communications skills combined with the ability to manage client and key stakeholder expectations. A strong ability to rapidly grasp the nuances of client needs in complex situations with competing demands. Ability to identify trends and to implement strategies to deliver against program Ability to structure appropriate solutions to meet client needs and address problem areas. Ability to lead others to deliver an agreed outcome.  Quality focused - accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organisational and time management skills.  Strategic thinker.
