Full job description Austindo is an industry leader for the maintenance and electrical support of Electric Drive Haul Trucks. Based in the Hunter Valley and celebrating over 23 years in operation, we support customers nationally with our team of experienced electricians and engineers.

We have a Full-Time role available based at Mt Thorley in the Hunter Valley. The role is workshop-based and will suit an electrician with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to work as part of an efficient and family-based team.

Whilst mobile maintenance experience is preferred, it is not essential. Austindo performs offsite repair services to various mines and primarily works on GE drive systems. The role will require maintenance and repair of various components such as Contactors, Power supplies, HV electrical cabinets and other related electrical items.

Responsibilities: Carry out routine and unscheduled maintenance on the auto-electrical and High Voltage Electrical equipment of heavy vehicles and earth-moving equipment Ensure that technical specifications and industry standards are adhered to. Provide technical advice and expertise including diagnostics and failure analysis In charge of repairing faulty electrical parts and ensuring the safe operation of the equipment/plants Provide input as required into our customers' Reliability and PMS programs Provide professional feedback to the customer as required Support the commissioning process by carrying out system checks Adhere to customer's administrative and management systems by completing all required documentation such as job cards, requisitions, timesheets and orders Qualifications and skills: Experience in Auto-electrics of heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment Well-developed presentation and communication skills and the ability to liaise with our customers Management skills, showing ability to coach peers and new starters on technical issues The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose faults and provide tactful feedback to the customer Planning and organising skills with the ability to establish work priorities to maximise results Behaviours: Being Safety focused, Adaptability and flexibility, Being supportive of the business objectives and decisions, and Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
