Find a career that matters and lasts As a Project Risk Specialist you will be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Risk Management Framework and ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines across all major projects within the Powerlink major projects portfolio.

Accountable for implementing and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Risk Management Framework and ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines across all major projects within the Major Projects Portfolio. The role will also contribute to embedding a risk-based assurance model within the major projects environment where identified project and portfolio risks are a major consideration when planning and executing project assurance activities. Develop, implement, and maintain project risk management related processes, templates, and guidelines in support of effective risk management in major projects. Provide specialist risk advice, facilitation, and support to major projects throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. The community you will join Based in our Bowen Hills reporting into the Assurance, Governance and Risk Manager, the Project Risk Specialist will play a key role in driving and enhancing the maturity of risk management and embedding an effective risk culture across the major projects portfolio within Powerlink.

Our Major Projects Office exists to manage the governance and controls that underpin the lifecycle of our large-scale projects - establishing our strategic aspiration to become a major developer that safely delivers complex and significant CAPEX projects over the next decade.

Your expertise Essential Degree qualifications in business, project management, finance or allied discipline and/or lower level qualification in a relevant discipline if coupled with significant experience within a project delivery environment Desirable Certified Practising Risk professional with membership of the Risk Management Institute of Australasia desirable. We'd also love you to have: Demonstrated experience, knowledge and application of Risk Management Frameworks in large scale infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience in the application of a range of risk management techniques, consistent with international and Australian risk management standards and best practice. Demonstrated experience in, leading, mentoring and educating others in the methodologies, principles, tools and techniques of risk management, specifically within a large scale project environment. Demonstrated ability to support the preparation and collation of information and holding to account key stakeholders to ensure that activities, plans and responses meet the immediate and long-term objectives of the business and division.
