Engineering Manager - Hardware

We thrive on complex challenges and believe that there's always a solution … we just have to find it!As an SME growing at a rapid pace, we're looking for fellow curious explorers who are keen to grow with us, love working in a collaborative environment and eager to learn from a highly skilled and experienced team.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?Establish and maintain the company hardware development processConduct hardware engineering career reviewsParticipate in recruitment of hardware engineersParticipate in scheduling of hardware engineers on projectsEnsure the hardware engineering team has the right resources and tools to conduct their workInspire hardware teams to achieve project goalsManage the hardware laboratory budgetProvide engineering expertise, when necessary, for specific projectsReporting to the Head of EngineeringWHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Experience in managing technical staffStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsSolid understanding of and experience with electrical/electronics/RF engineering designAttention to detail, process oriented and excellent record keepingAppreciation of development processes within the defence sectorExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesSelf-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as in a team environmentMinimum 10 years experience as an engineer with at least 3 years experience as an engineering leadBachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering with a specialisation in electrical / electronics / RF or mechatronics engineeringLive in South Australia or willing to relocateBe an AUSTRALIAN citizen (non-citizens are unable to be considered due to the nature of our work)Be eligible and willing to obtain an Australian Government security clearance and retain that clearance while employed by Ebor SystemsWillingness to travel within Australia and overseas if neededDesirable requirements (not mandatory)Experience with defence projects and ASDEFCONHave an existing Australian Government clearanceRegistration as CPEng or eligible to be registered as CPEng with Engineers AustraliaWHAT CAN WE GIVE YOU?Additional Super Guarantee +1% with the ability to salary sacrifice up to 2% with a matching 2% contribution from EborFlexible time, based on core hours 10:00 to 15:00Working from home when the project allowsAccess to an employee assistance programThe finer details$159k to $170k + Super (dependent on experience)Full-Time role, 38 hours per weekMile End locationProbation of 6 monthsYour application will include the following questions:
