the role encompasses 80% CFO duties to 20% COO responsibilities

with primary objectives of the role is to manage the company's financial, purchasing and warehousing operational functions to ensure organisational productivity and profitability.You will work very closely with the CEO and senior management team, being responsible for the day-to-day operations of finance, purchasing and warehousing teams including, and not limited to, managing financial accounts and systems, developing, and driving the organisations finance and operational plans and objectives in close collaboration with the CEO.You will be a highly motivated team player, be very hands on, across all facets of the business, enjoy interacting with all staff, and bring a high level of energy to the business in this pivotal and important position.You will be super confident in presenting financial information to management, managing and directing teams all while duly being supported by the finance, purchasing and warehouse leaders who will all report directly to you.The business is strategically and finically setup for rapid growth and a global footprint in which you will be a key factor to this success.You will ideally encompass an enquiring mind, be curious, challenge the norm, seek out continuous improvements, not settling for a good enough outcome and stretch yourself to "go further' all whilst being respected for your expertise and the time it takes to deliver great work.Core responsibilities.Execute the financial strategy of the company.Overseeing and managing warehouse, finance and purchasing managers and supervisorsHandling everything relating to cash flow, financial planning, and taxation issues.Managing financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting expenses, and mitigating financial risks for sustainable growthAssessing financial risks and opportunities for the businessEnsuring that a company's financial reports are accurate and up to date and prepare and execute monthly BAS statements.Advising the CEO & senior management team on financial and strategic planning issuesEnsuring that the company complies with financial regulations and tax laws.Have strong relationship and understanding with external accountants, bankers and insurance organisations.Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans.Designing, planning, and implementing business strategies, plans, and proceduresSetting and monitoring goals for business growth and successEstablishing and enforcing policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision.Preparing and presenting operational and management reports to the CEO and other stakeholdersEmpower the operational team with the leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operations initiatives.Positively represent the company at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanourSkills & Experience10+ years' experience in a senior financial managerial positionProven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant roleMust be CA/CPA qualified.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (MBA preferred)In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning managementIn-depth understanding of the industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirementsUnderstanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning and preparation of BAS statementsExperience in Warehousing, Transport & Logistics, Manufacturing, Freight Forwarding or industries of the like, advantageous.Be a team player, posses a high level of energy and enjoy being hands on.Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methodsAdvanced computer skills in the use of MS Office and MYOB advanced accounting software desirableExperience in understanding and using warehouse management systems, advantageous.Ability to strategize, problem solve and possess an analytical mind.Strong leadership and organisational skills with advanced people skillsResults-oriented, strategic thinker and plannerExceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.What's on OfferAttractive salary based on experience (160k - 170k plus super) negotiable.Annual discretionary bonuses, and yearly remuneration reviewsEnjoy a genuine work life balance.Monthly team activitiesFriendly, energetic, vibrant working environmentA 6-month probationary period will apply , and you will also need to complete a
