The team The Communications and Corporate Affairs Group (CCA) builds strategic stakeholder relationships to improve awareness and understanding of ASIC's mandate and outcomes. It manages external, digital and internal communications, stakeholder engagement and delivers ASIC's consumer education and Moneysmart. 

The role As a Senior Manager, Strategic Communications, you will:

Provide strategic advice, guidance and recommendations to the Head of Group Communications and senior leaders on all matters relating to internal and external communications strategies and plans and stakeholder engagement. Lead a high-performing team that supports a portfolio of divisions to develop, integrate, implement, and optimise integrated communication plans across a portfolio of divisions, in order to support ASIC's regulatory and enforcement objectives. Deliver engaging, high-quality content that can be used across internal and external channels (particularly across media and social). Be a trusted advisor to Executive Directors and senior leaders and work with a portfolio of divisions within ASIC on communication strategy development and execution. Work collaboratively with other ASIC teams in delivering specialist guidance to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Bring a campaign mindset to create innovative communications, with the ability to identify issues and opportunities for ASIC to improve its overall storytelling. Embed a best practice business partnering approach between the Strategic Communications team and divisions it supports and improve cross-team collaboration with other Corporate and Stakeholder Relation teams. Monitor and evaluate the success of communication activities, bringing a strong focus on continuous improvement across ASIC and best practice communication and stakeholder engagement approaches. About you Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or other relevant discipline, or substantial relevant experience. Experience designing and executing complex communications and stakeholder engagement strategies with a proven track record managing complex stakeholder relationships. Experience analysing and considering the broader organisational, industry and environmental context to develop sound and practical communication solutions. Excellent writing and editing skills including the ability to distil key messages. Demonstrated relationship management and influencing skills including managing stakeholder relationships and project management, to ensure the effective use of resources, and management of change impact within and across teams. Deep understanding of the financial sector with senior strategic communications experience in a least one of the areas of Superannuation, Health, Insurance, Credit, Banking or Markets. Strong understanding of the compliance and legal process, including civil proceedings and penalties. Experience driving and measuring campaigns across a range of communications platforms. Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as drawing reasoned influences from qualitative and quantitative data and to reach robust and practical conclusions. Understanding of best practice approaches to stakeholder engagement and project management. Ability to manage multiple projects, working through challenging, ambiguous, and complex issues calmly and logically. About ASIC ASIC's remit is one of the broadest of regulators across the world.
