Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman.

Your role

As the Technical Publications Officer for the Triton weapon system, you'll oversee the technical publications for ground and air vehicle systems. Key responsibilities include managing the Triton Technical Publications Management System and ensuring the delivery of these services across the program. You'll handle the alignment of US Navy materials with Australian standards, maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and manage system maintenance publications.

You'll also be responsible for registering and validating technical publications, coordinating with the US Navy and stakeholders for quality control, managing updates and revisions, and overseeing the distribution of resources within the Triton program. Additionally, you will manage the program's technical library and conduct audits and updates of technical publication work instructions.

About You

In this role, your proactive nature, keen attention to detail, and enthusiasm for merging aircraft maintenance with technical publications are crucial. You'll bring a deep understanding of aircraft maintenance from a user's perspective, skilfully working with maintenance manuals, enhancing processes, and crafting documentation for U.S. approval. Your expertise in Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) and S1000D will be essential. 

Collaborating with the Engineering and Technical Services Manager and Senior Maintenance Manager, you will be instrumental in driving change and innovation. Your comprehensive knowledge in technical publications and aircraft maintenance will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with high industry standards and contributing to the ongoing success and innovation of our program.
