Mission The O&M Readiness Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful transition of the SM-WSA (Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport) project into operational readiness. The key responsibilities and contributions of this critical position:

Strategic Alignment and Integration: - Coordinates the activites across various streams within the project.

- Aligns all aspects of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to ensure seamless integration.

- Focus extends beyond technical readiness; also consider people, processes, and tools.

- As the integrator,harmonise inputs from different teams and stakeholders.

- Produces the relevant documentation for Sydney Metro including O&M Readiness Management Plan

Program Planning and Execution:

- Manages the O&M program plan within the broader context of the Parklife planning (which encompasses both Design & Construction and O&M phases).

- To oversees the timeline, milestones, and deliverables related to O&M readiness.

- Ensure that the project is prepared for the test and commissioning phase, the trial operations phase, and ultimately, the first day of passenger operations.

Budget Adherence and Contract Compliance: - Accountable for adhering to the budget outlined during the tender process.

- Monitor expenses, allocate resources judiciously, and optimize costs.

- Ensure alignment with the contractual obligations specified in the O&M deed (as per the SM Contract).

People Mobilisation: - Collaborates with HR and other relevant departments to ensure that the right people are in place.

- Supports ramp up preparation, recruiting, training, and preparing staff for their roles in O&M.

Risk Management: - Proactively identifiy and mitigate risks that could impact operational readiness.

- Minimise disruptions during the transition to operational status.

In summary, the O&M Readiness Director connects various elements—people, processes, tools, and contractual obligations—ensuring that the SM-WSA project has a smooth and efficient operational launch.

ResponsibilitiesBefore Trial Operations 1- Internal RATPDev : lead the team towards the objective of O&M readiness :

- Assess, keep developing and maintain/update the O&M readiness program to enable the O&M readiness for:

o T&C phase

o Trial Operations phase

o the beginning of revenue service

- Facilitate coordination among all internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness for O&M :

o People readiness

o Documentation readiness (test scenarios and cases, training documentation, etc.)

o IT/OT tools readiness

o Procurement readiness

o Accreditations readiness

o Stakeholder management readiness

- Manage internal O&M readiness meeting, status and share with the team the progress of all O&M readiness activities/ identify areas of concerns

- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies

- Support any of the streams requiring inputs by

o Directly producing/writing documentation

o Interfacing with D&C

o Representing the O&M

- Develop all necessary processes and documentation for the start of trial operations (tests cases, test reports, rosters for staff..)

2-Internal Parklife : provide inputs/guidelines for D&C regarding O&M readiness activities - Ensure that D&C Milestones enables the O&M to achieve its own activities and timely contractual commitments

- Obtain relevant inputs from D&C to achieve O&M's goals

- Develop process and documentation for our D&C interfaces for the: :

o T&C phase

o Trial operations phase

- Develop and follow up on activities related to the handover of assets (snaglists, handover checklists, participation to key T&C activities…)

3- External Parklife : represents the O&M in all O&M readiness topics and forums -Lead O&M Readiness Working Group both internal Parklife with Siemens/Webuild and external with Sydney Metro to :

o Clarify the milestones to T&C phase and Trial Operations phase

o Flag risks/issues and mitigate them

o Share the progress of the differnet processes with the client

- Develop the O&M readiness management plan :

o Demonstrate compliance to each Sydney Metro Requirements

o Clarify all the key activities to be undertaken prior to first T&C and Trial Operations

- Integrate O&M key stakeholder plans into the readiness program including:

o emergency services (FRNSW, NSW Police Force, RFS, NSW Ambulance

o airport (WSA) including the RID

o other Tranport operators (Sydney Trains, taxi, ride share and busses)

o subcontractors (Siemens CS,…)

During Trial Operations - The O&M readiness Director:

o leads the Trial Operations activities and ensure we reach our targets as per PS 14 and contractual obligations, with the support of all the directors

o organises the day-to-day activitiesof the Trial operations phase of the O&M readiness program (roasters, test case scenarios, participation of external stakeholders)

o Ensure all people have the right level of information/ the right tools and equipment/ the right training to participate in the Trial Operations

o Undertake a daily review and reporting on the planned testing outcomes, replan failed tests and lessons learnt

From time to time involvement in other WSA activities may be needed
